Falconry is an ancient art that brings together humans and birds of prey in a rare partnership built on respect and knowledge. Recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this practice is, above all, a way of life.
The Falconry Course I (10 October) opens the door to this fascinating world, covering its history, ethical principles, legislation and essential bird care.
The Falconry Course II (7 November) offers a deeper experience, exploring topics such as the evolution and anatomy of birds of prey, health, breeding and equipment making. The course also features the special participation of veterinarian Cristina Almeida, whose extensive experience enriches both the scientific and practical components of this module.
Schedule: 9:30am to 5:00pm (including a 1-hour lunch break, at participants' own responsibility)
Ticket: €60
Minimum age: 17 years
The course requires a minimum of 5 participants to take place.
Should this requirement not be met, TNM reserves the right to cancel the experience, guaranteeing a full refund with at least 48 hours' notice.
