Márcia began her musical career in 2009 with the EP A Pele que Há em Mim, followed by the albums Dá, Casulo, Quarto Crescente and Vai e Vem. In 2019, she received the José da Ponte Award from the Portuguese Society of Authors. Throughout her career, she has also earned three nominations for the SIC/Caras Golden Globe Awards with the songs Tempestade, Insatisfação and A Pele que Há em Mim (Quando o Dia Entardeceu), the latter a duet with J.P. Simões.
